We're pleased to report that our 2018 peak season marketing plans, in conjunction with the SD Department of Tourism, have recently been outlined—including a total of $300,000 dedicated to our out-of-region efforts. Through this valuable co-op, we expect to generate nearly 11 million impressions in 2018 through a variety of marketing channels.

This span of advertising buys will range from commercials to a wide list of sponsored social media posts within Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram; from engaging direct mailers to an ad buy in a large circulating magazine; and a multifaceted digital effort made up of pre-roll ads, native content and videos, and display retargeting.

Ahead of the peak season, we’re excited to once again be partnering with Midwest Living on another Dream Vacation Giveaway—which launched in January.

All in all, these efforts will drive traffic to blackhillsbadlands.com for more information—where the connections can start being made between BH&B member businesses and potential visitors.

Following another year of growth in our tourism industry, we’re excited to see these marketing dollars help inspire even more people to visit the Black Hills and Badlands for themselves.
