Examine the history of the Vore Buffalo Jump, 12 miles east on I-90, where Late-Prehistoric Plains Indians stampeded buffalo into a sink hole to harvest their meat and hides.
Water Fun and Adventure
Keyhole Reservoir, located 23 miles west of Sundance, offers water recreation, picnicking, boating and camping. Wyoming fishing licenses are required for walleye, catfish, small mouth bass and northern pike. Keyhole State Park on the shores of the reservoir hosts a marina and over 170 camping sites.
Home of the Sundance Kid
In 1887, Harry Longabaugh was dubbed the Sundance Kid after spending 18 months in the Sundance jail for horse theft. The Sundance Kid later met up with Butch Cassidy and formed the famous "Wild Bunch Gang." Have your picture taken with a life-size bronze of the kid!
