It is a "gateway" community to Badlands National Park, and offers year-round motels, campgrounds, restaurants and auto services. Home of the famous Wall Drug Store where the promise of "free ice water" brought in thirsty travelers on their long trek across South Dakota.

Led by former NASCAR drive and NBC Analyst Kyle Petty, the Ride will take 200 bikers on a 2,400 mile route from Portland, Oregon to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to raise fund and awareness for Victory Junction – a camp dedicated to providing life-changing camping experiences for children with chromic or life-threatening illnesses.
