Want a Western experience? Hulett, nestled along the banks of the Belle Fourche River, is known for its western style, tremendous deer hunting, fishing, annual rodeo in June, motorcycle rally days in August and winter snowmobiling in the Bearlodge Mountains.
Hulett's economy centers around the timber industry with two sawmills and nearby ranching. With its close vicinity to Devils Tower, Hulett has a lot to offer visitors with three motels for overnight visitors and two restaurants.
Devils Tower National Monument
One of America's most recognizable landforms, the awesome stone uplift of Devils Tower National Monument, is just nine miles south of Hulett. The premier climb in the Black Hills is the 1,000-foot face of Devils Tower. More than 80 separate routes to the summit have been described since climbing records were started in 1937. The National Park Service says that every year since 1977, more than 3,000 climbers have scaled Devils Tower.
