Devils Tower Fees, Facilities & Programs

Park Hours & Fees Devils Tower National Monument is open year-round 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Admission is $10 per vehicle (including motorcycles) and $5 for bicycles and pedestrians for a seven day pass. An annual park pass is $20 and is good for 12 months from the purchase date. Bus fees are $25 (1-6 passengers); $40 (7-25 passengers) and $100 (26 or more).

Directions
Easiest access is from I-90 at exits 154 (Moorcroft, WY) or 185 (Sundance, WY). Take US Highway 14 north to State Highway 24 north.

Facilities
The Visitor Center is open April 9 through November 30, 2008. Information can be obtained at the administration building during the winter. April visitor center hours are 9 a.m to 5 p.m., Wednesdays through Sundays. On May 1, the visitor center is open seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beginning May 24th the visitor center is open every day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The visitor center contains exhibits concerning this unique geological wonder. Daily, during the summer, rangers present talks on the natural and cultural history of the area. A 1.3-mile Tower Trail encircles the Tower and windes among rockfalls of gigantic columns which have fallen from the monolith. The Rock Beds Trail covers a much wider three-mile loop around the Tower and includes the Belle Fourche River Valley and pine forests.

Services Campground & Picnic Area open April 25-October 27. Camp sites are $12 and are available first come/first serve. Evening programs will be presented at the park amphitheater as dusk signals day’s end. Program topics include the park’s natural and cultural history. During inclement weather the program moves to the picnic shelter. Souvenirs are available in the visitor center at the Devils Tower National History Association Bookstore.

Food, gas, lodging and camping are also available just outside the park entrance and at the gateway towns of Hulett, Sundance and Moorcroft.
