What is The Workforce Disability Network of the Black Hills?We are a domestic non-profit organization that was incorporated in June 2014. We recognize that a healthy workforce is diversified and inclusive of persons with disabilities.Who are we?We are a group of local business owners, employers, and human resource managers with a vested interest in improving the workforce in the Black Hills region by creating a more diverse and inclusive workforce. We have incorporated as a domestic non-profit group and have established a Board of Trustees.What do we do?We network with other employers and businesses to help them understand the benefits of hiring persons with disabilities. We sponsor numerous educational and awareness events on topics of interest to employers and human resource managers. We also act as a resource for employers regarding worksite modifications or accommodations and issues concerning the employment of people with disabilities. We work closely with the Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services to link employers to prospective employees with disabilities.
