Come celebrate Halloween in Deadwood with Deadweird! This unique event promises a mix of crazy, spooky, and fun experiences. Hosted by Quality Brands of the Black Hills, Midco, and KEVN Black Hills Fox, this event is set in Deadwood's renowned locations. Attendees can look forward to live music, dancing, and costume contests.

Activities and Highlights

  • Monster Ball: Enjoy live music by Flannel and join the dancing at Deadwood Mountain Grand Event Center. Win door prizes and cheer for People's Choice costume winners.
  • Costume Contest & Party: Get creative with your costume for a chance to win part of the $10,000 in cash and prizes at Outlaw Square and the Historic Franklin Hotel.

Kid-Friendly Frights and Family Fun

No one gets left out during Halloween in Deadwood. Younger attendees and families can enjoy a range of activities. 

  • Haunted Tours of the Broken Boot Gold Mine: For ages 12 and older, take a spooky candlelight tour 300 feet underground in a historic mine. Tours available on select days in October.
  • Trunk or Treat: On October 26, all ages are welcome to enjoy family-friendly trick-or-treating at the Days of ’76 Event Complex from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • KidWeird Halloween Event: For ages 12 and under, participating in the KidWeird Halloween event on October 31 at the Deadwood Mountain Grand Event Center with costume contests and prizes.
