Did you know the Black Hills Roundup began as a World War I fundraiser in 1918, drawing 15,000 people to Belle Fourche, a town with only 1,410 residents? The event has since grown into a four-performance PRCA rodeo, attracting top-ranked cowboys and cowgirls. Notable visits include President Calvin Coolidge in 1927, and the tradition of a live cowboy band continues to this day.
